Process Circles
What are process circles?
Process circles create safe spaces for work, learning, empowerment, connecting with others, conflict solutions, creating projects and more.
A council process is a spiral process: It has direction and a goal. During the process the group advances toward the goal while creating depth and connections which strengthen and enrich the way and the intentions, the group and the goal.
In creating a process circle we work together with the client organization, enabling the client to be a partner in the decision making process at each stage. We have over 20 years experience creating and facilitating process with a wide variety of people, organizations and situations.
We also identify social needs and offer depth work on such subjects as family communication, loneliness, dealing with situations such as the Covid times or support for climate activists among other processes we have offered.
Here are a few of the the organizations and towns we have worked with over the years: Daburia, Rosh Pina, Tuba-Zangaria, Acre, The Israeli Authority for the Advancement of the Status of Women, Beyond Words, Tomorrow’s Women, Tel Hai College, The Peace Academy and more.
In a good relationship you will find collaboration, good outcomes and joy. In such a relationship it is possible to work in the long term, to go through changes relatively easily and to realize dreams.
The essence of the language of council is connection between head and heart: when we speak from the heart and listen from the heart we find understanding and wisdom that cannot be found any other way. There are deep connections, and the wisdom of the circle is created. Each circle has its unique wisdom, created by the unique gathering of the voices of it’s participants.
Survival Project Rosh Pina
In 2003, together with other facilitators and trainers, we created the Non-profit organization “Amutat Maagal Hakshava” – Council Training Israel, the official connection to the International organization.
organization, and responsible for facilitator trainings in Israel. We did this because we saw the importance of teaching authentic heart listening and speaking as a basis for all relationships – in family, workplace, love, friendship – in anything that is not done alone and depends on how we work with others.
We have years of experience facilitating Council for a variety of needs and goals:
Women’s Circles – We have deep knowledge of this work from years of experience, using a variety of methods for process work for connection, empowerment, wellbeing and more. Itaf has been the Advisor for Women’s Affairs in her local council for many years. So if you are looking for a fun day for women, team building for a group or a deep process for empowerment, women’s circles connect women from the heart, using holistic approaches, in order to create intimacy, wisdom and joy.
Nature Retreats – disconnection from our daily life, to special, beautiful nature spots, in order to meet ourselves and return to our wellbeing. Aura has been a sustainability facilitator for over 12 years, deeply connecting with nature, with our environment. Our retreats are for women only, in order to maintain a safe intimate space for deep personal work. The retreats are held in pleasant, quiet beautiful spots, usually for three days.
Inter-cultural connection – work in the social sphere on subjects such as various cultures, diversity, intergenerational and interreligious connections and peace. The language of the heart learned in the circle is the language of connection even when there is no other common language. It creates a common field through personal stories heard in a nonjudgmental space. Aura and Itaf themselves model partnership and peace, with over 20 years of work and friendship.
Education – We believe that council teaches the way to communicate from a young age, to create an accepting optimal learning environment. We train educators to facilitate council in educational frameworks in the Department of Education. Council is suitable for classroom, for staff and for parent meetings.
Work from afar on Zoom when there is no possibility to meet face to face – we do circles and courses on Zoom in Hebrew, Arabic and English in Israel and Internationally.
Support circles for activists and volunteers – for those who are out in the field, meeting complex circumstances and facing burnout.
